Chanea is an educator, a teacher and an eternal student. Her graduate work focuses on increasing access to dual credit and advanced academic opportunities for Black and Brown students. She is an English teacher in Texas whose professional work focuses on increasing access to diverse texts, affirming Black, brown, and LGBTQ+ student identities, and “being the teacher she needed.”
